Profile
I am a first-year doctoral student in ECE at the UBC Robotics and Control Lab, under the supervision of Dr. Tim Salcudean. My research interests include robotics, surgical robots, teleoperation, and machine learning for medical applications. I hold a Master of Computer Science degree in Data Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Previously, I was a software engineer at Cornerstone Robotics and Precision Robotics, and a research assistant at the Medical Robotics Center. I have co-authored serveral academic publications and hold six patents (four as first author and two as second author) on surgical robot control methods and teleoperation systems. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong in 2019.
I have over six years of experience in C++ programming, robotics, and mechatronics system integration. I have developed advanced robot software architectures and control frameworks specialized for surgical robots. My background spans machine learning, real-time software systems with complex behaviors, and mechatronics for medical robotics applications.

Skilled in Python, C++, C, MATLAB, ROS, MCU firmware (STM32), Linux (Ubuntu and embedded Linux), Git, CI/CD, Docker, and UI frameworks such as Qt and QML.
